Membership Levels
The AKA membership year for all membership levels is from 1 July to 30 June. All membership fees include GST.CLICK HERE to read about AKA Membership Benefits
ALL STUDY (EITHER VIA RTO OR WORKSHOP) MUST BE FULLY ACCREDITED WITH THE AKA. Click here to find an AKA accredited course. Applicants are advised to refer to this information, or contact enquiries@aka.asn.au for accreditation status before they commence their study.
Associate Membership - For people interested in keeping abreast of what is happening in the world of kinesiology. Open to general public. Current annual membership fee $ 59.95
Student Membership - For people currently studying kinesiology in Australia. The first two years of student membership are free, followed by an annual fee of $59.95.
Kinesiology Instructor/Trainer Membership - Kinesiology instructors/trainers teach both non-professionals and professionals in the industry. An instructor meets individual kinesiology modality requirements (may offer proficiency assessment). A Trainer must have current Cert IV TAE qualification or higher (may issue proficiency assessment certificates). Current annual membership fee is $210.00.
AKA Registered Supervisor/Mentor - If you are an AKA practitioner member you can also register as a clinical supervisor and/or clinical mentor for an added annual fee of $55. Click here for further information about eligibility and application forms.
Kinesiology Practitioner Membership The Australian Kinesiology Association has created a national standard for kinesiology practitioners which is administered by the Australian Kinesiology Practitioner Registration Board (PRB). Current annual membership fee is $210.00.
All practitioner and instructor members must abide by the AKA Constitution and By-Laws, Code of Practice, Code of Conduct and Code of Ethics. Click here to view these documents.
Practitioner Member Application Fees - This is a non refundable application fee payable to the Practitioner Registration Board for those wishing to apply for practitioner registration.
International Membership- for registered modality Instructors who are also registered Kinesiology Practitioners residing overseas with membership with a Kinesiology Association in the country you are residing. Current annual membership fee $ 190.00 AUD (Excl GST)
